    The start page is the first page you will see when entering a TeamEngine workspace

    They say that first impression is the most important and each TeamEngine workspace has a start page that you can design exactly as you want it. It can contain a variety of things - a forum, a calendar, or a document list - but the most common is a static welcoming page with general information about the workspace. You can also add other important information such as upcoming meetings, the latest changes and members of the site.

    Document list

    The document list allows you to store, edit and approve documents

    In the document list you will find, as the name suggests, what could be called the key of a collaboration - the documents. The heart of TeamEngine sort of speak. This allows you to easily upload the entire folder structure, edit and share files, and the document module has many features that makes your work easier. For example version control, where you can easily save the document as a new version. You can also approve documents and protocols directly in TeamEngine.

    Calendar

    In TeamEngine you can create shared calendars for the members in a workspace

    Keeping track of appointments and deadlines are among the most important things in a collaboration, and in your shared calendar you can easily schedule appointments, add milestones and reminders. You can also create lists of participants, so members can see who is coming to the meetings. Of course appointments and reminders can be sent out to members' own calendars so that no one misses the information. You can also link the meeting material to a calendar entry for the participants to know what information needs to be read before the meeting.

    Use the forum for discussions, questions, and brainstorming ideas

    Few tools are as effective for fast communication as forums. Do you need to talk about an idea, did anyone come across a tricky question or do you need to decide your next meeting time? Post it in the forum and receive instant feedback from the other members. Four types of entries could be created in the forum: Discussion, Question with answers, Open question and Brainstorming. They are suited for different situations, but what they all have in common is that you get quick answers and can move on with your work.

    The activity list can be used for delegating and monitoring of tasks

    To keep accurate track of who does what, when it should be done and then following up that is has been done is important for a cooperation to run smoothly. The TeamEngine's activity list provides a structured list of all members' information, giving you a clear and concise overview of the work. In the activity list, you can also delegate responsibilities, get reports, get an overall view and create Gantt charts.
