What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device, by websites you visit. There are two types of cookies. The first is a persistent cookie that stores a file on your device which is used to be able to notify what is new since you last visited our website.

Cookies can be used when a user wants to customize websites according to their user preferences such as custom contrast, font size or sorting and selection. Once the expiration date is passed, the cookie is automatically deleted when you return to the site that created it.

The second is a session cookie. A session cookie is stored on your device while you are active on our website, e.g. to remember which language you have selected. When you close your browser, the cookies are usually removed.

Avoiding cookies

If you do not want to accept cookies, you can setup your browser to automatically deny storage of cookies or inform you every time a website wishes to store cookies. You can always delete cookies stored in your browser. For instructions, check the help manual of your browser.
